Advice Needed: Sources for Wood

I'm from Boise and don't get over to your neck of the woods much.  My wife and I are going to be in Seattle, though, over the 4th of July.  I thought it would be fun to drive back through Oregon, starting around Portland.  Along the way I'd like to stop and pick up some chunks of wood for turning, especially woods more common to the area, eg madrone, laurel, oak( black, white) and others.  Where would be good places to stop?

I would say Goby Walnut for local woods and Gilmer Hardwoods for some amazing exotics. They are pretty close to each other and you can get a pretty good idea what to expect looking online. There are also come local “urban loggers” that could also be great sources. Like Windwood LLC. You can find him on instagram or his website.
