Rick Rich - Bon-Bon Dish

Rick returns to NWWT for another demo.  He will make a 3-piece bon-bon dish.  It is made with a base, a column, and a bowl using both spindle and faceplate turning techniques. 

The idea came from a 1937 book by William Klenke titled The Art of Wood Turning.

This project incorporates joinery, spindle and faceplate turning.   Both the base and bowl each have a mortise drilled into them on the lathe, and the column has tenons turned to fit.
